Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is facing fresh scrutiny after newly released Epstein files revealed he allegedly sent photos of his daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, to Jeffrey Epstein following the financier’s release from prison for sex offenses.
According to documents made public in the latest tranche of files, Andrew sent a 2011 Christmas card to Epstein that included photos of himself alongside Beatrice and Eugenie, who were in their early 20s at the time. The card, reportedly signed under his former title HRH The Duke of York, wished Epstein “much joy and happiness at this time and for the year ahead”—despite Epstein having recently served time for child sex crimes.
The holiday card also featured a cartoon illustration of Andrew walking through snow with dogs toward a snowman holding the British Royal Standard. A similar card was allegedly sent the following year in 2012, again including family images. The correspondence has raised serious questions, particularly given Andrew’s past public statements.

In his now-infamous 2019 BBC Newsnight interview, Andrew insisted he had cut off contact with Epstein after their December 2010 meeting in New York’s Central Park. “I had no contact with him whatsoever from that day forward,” he told interviewer Emily Maitlis at the time. The newly surfaced materials appear to contradict that claim.
The fallout reportedly extends beyond Andrew himself. Sources claim Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are “mortified” by the revelations, especially after additional emails in the files referenced their mother, Sarah Ferguson. Some exchanges reportedly included affectionate language toward Epstein and casual mentions of the princesses, intensifying public scrutiny.
While there is no suggestion that Beatrice or Eugenie were involved in any wrongdoing, the renewed attention on their parents’ past associations has reportedly left them shocked and deeply embarrassed. Insiders say they were unaware of the extent of the communications that have now come to light, adding yet another chapter to a scandal that continues to cast a long shadow over the royal family.
