Kim Kardashian just made a big parenting move that has fans buzzing. The 43-year-old reality star has reportedly deactivated her 12-year-old daughter North West’s Instagram account after only a few days online—following what insiders describe as a wave of negative comments and growing safety concerns.

According to Radar Online, Kim was “taken aback” by the kind of attention North’s page attracted almost immediately. “The content, comments, and overall attention were concerning. She felt it was premature for North to be in that space,” one source said.

North’s short-lived account made headlines when she posted bold selfies showing off blue hair, a faux bridge piercing, and a massive 106-carat diamond pendant—images that sparked both fascination and criticism across social media. Fans voiced concern over North’s exposure and maturity, while Kim reportedly decided the environment was “not safe for her daughter right now.”

This latest move reflects Kim’s ongoing struggle to protect her children while letting them express themselves—especially in the glare of fame. The source added that Kim’s ex-husband, Kanye West, takes a more relaxed stance on their kids’ social media use, which has occasionally led to tension between the co-parents. “Kim is all about safety and control, while Kanye’s approach is more hands-off,” the insider explained.

Despite the controversy, Kim remains fiercely proud of North’s individuality. On the Call Her Daddy podcast, she praised her daughter’s confidence: “North has this incredible maturity. She’ll see comments and go, ‘I don’t care if they don’t like my blue hair.’ She’s so self-assured.”

Even so, Kim admitted that motherhood under a microscope can be tricky. “Sometimes I think, ‘Okay, we’re never wearing that again.’ You learn on the job as a mom,” she said.

For now, it seems Kim’s protective instincts have taken the lead—proof that even in the Kardashian world, safety comes before style.
