Fans of HGTV’s Holmes on Homes are mourning the loss of Frank Cozzolino, the beloved electrician who passed away at 56. His daughter Filomena confirmed his death in a deeply emotional social media post, revealing the cause and the fierce battle her father fought until the very end.

Filomena shared that her father passed on December 4, 2025, following complications from a second liver transplant earlier this year. “My dad was beloved by many,” she wrote. “A man brimming with passion, empathy, brutal honesty, and integrity, he battled organ disease and was granted a new lease on life in 2017 through the gift of organ donation.”

In her heartfelt message, Filomena revealed that Cozzolino’s liver disease returned in 2025, forcing him to undergo another transplant in July. Despite serious post-surgery complications, he kept fighting. “He refused to give up,” she said. “He thought, ‘I’ve beaten the odds before—the world won’t get rid of me that easily.’”

Sadly, Cozzolino’s condition worsened after being diagnosed with lymphoma. “Although he lost his battle on the evening of December 4, my dad defied expectations to the very end,” Filomena wrote.

Cozzolino was widely admired by HGTV fans after appearing in multiple episodes of Holmes Family Rescue in 2022, where he openly discussed his ongoing health struggles. “About 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with a rare liver disease,” he shared in the show. “The doctors gave me five years with my liver. It was either get a new one or face death. The news hit me like a freight train.”

After receiving his first liver transplant, Cozzolino turned his life around—downsizing his business, focusing on recovery, and working with contractor Mike Holmes to renovate his home with help from his daughters Alexandria and Filomena.

Filomena’s emotional farewell concluded: “Dad, you fought one hell of a battle. You’re the strongest person I’ve ever known, and I’m grateful for every year we shared. Your fight is over now, and you can rest. We’ll meet again someday.”
