Minah, best known as a member of Girl’s Day, recently shared a surprise update with fans, but it came with an unexpected twist.
On Wednesday, Minah posted several selfies to her personal social media account, revealing a fresh scratch on her face. The caption read, “Don’t ask what happened. Ddagung scratched me with her claw,” referring to her beloved pet cat.
In the photos, Minah lounges on the floor in a white lace dress, striking playful poses. Her glowing complexion and natural makeup stood out, but it was the visible scratch beneath her eye that caught the attention of fans. Comments poured in expressing concern and affection, with fans writing, “Is your face okay?”, “You never seem to age,” and “Still so beautiful.” Fellow Girls’ Day member Yura also left a comment, affectionately saying, “So that’s what happened,” showing their continued close bond.
Despite the scratch, Minah’s lighthearted attitude and her clear affection for both her cat and her bandmates drew warm reactions from fans. But just days later, she had even bigger news to share.
On Friday, Minah’s agency Haewadal Entertainment officially announced that she is engaged to actor On Joo Wan. “After a serious relationship, On Joo Wan and Bang Minah have decided to spend their lives together,” the agency said in a statement. The wedding is scheduled for this November and will be held privately, with only close friends and family in attendance.
Minah and On Joo Wan first met while co-starring in the 2016 SBS drama Beautiful Gong Shim. They reportedly stayed in touch over the years and grew closer after reuniting in the 2021 stage musical The Days.
Minah debuted in 2010 with Girl’s Day, the girl group behind K-pop hits such as “Twinkle Twinkle” and “Something.” She later transitioned into acting, earning praise for her roles in series such as Beautiful Gong Shim, My Absolute Boyfriend, Check Out the Event, Delivery Man, and History of Losers.
