Jin is set to express the irony of love too difficult to let go through his upcoming title track music video.
At midnight on May 13th KST, the BTS member released the music video poster for “Don’t Say You Love Me,” the title track from his second mini-album Echo via the group’s official social media accounts. The poster captures a couple standing at the precipice of their relationship, with captions like “misaligned gazes and tangled hearts” and “our bittersweet story.”
Another contrasting poster captures the couple in happier, radiant moments—amplifying the poignancy of the breakup theme by giving a look at what once was. Fans can expect a narrative resembling a romance movie, showcasing Jin’s nuanced emotional acting.
According to BigHit Music, the music video has been produced in a drama-style format and features acclaimed actress Shin Se Kyung as the female lead opposite Jin.
Set for release today at 1 PM KST, Jin’s second mini-album Echo, including a total of seven tracks, portrays how various moments in life spread like different forms of “echoes.” The title song “Don’t Say You Love Me” is a pop track laced with restrained arrangements and clean instrumentation. Through his gentle delivery, Jin expresses the complicated emotions of love as both comfort and pain.
